What we can help with

Corrections. The most useful email you can send. If a verdict contradicts a veterinary source, send the page and the source and we will check it, correct the record, and re-date it. We would rather be corrected than be wrong.
A missing food. Tell us what you looked up and could not find. We add foods where a citable veterinary source exists; where none does, we will say so rather than invent an answer.
Something broken. A page that will not load, a result that looks wrong, a link that goes nowhere.
Press and permissions. Questions about citing or linking to the site.

What we cannot help with

We cannot advise on your individual pet, and we are not veterinarians. If your animal may have eaten something harmful, do not email us and wait for a reply — call your vet or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center on (888) 426-4435 now. With several poisons the damage is done before an animal looks unwell, and a delay of hours matters. A consultation fee may apply to the ASPCA hotline.

We also cannot recommend a diet, comment on a specific medical situation, or tell you whether a quantity your pet already ate is dangerous. Those are questions for someone who can examine the animal.
